Plexiglas barriers to be installed at customer service counters
In response to the Coronavirus crisis, Plexiglas barriers will be installed at all of our customer service locations.
Workers began installing the barriers Thursday at the George Edgecomb Courthouse, 800 E. Twiggs Street, and at Official Records, 419 Pierce Street. The barriers are intended to provide some protection for our customers and employees.
In addition, tables have been placed in front of the counters to help enforce the six-foot distancing recommended for social distancing.
“These unprecedented times require unprecedented action to help keep the public and our employees safe,” said Clerk of Court & Comptroller Pat Frank. “While we remain open to serve the public, we urge everyone to use our website hillsclerk.com, to conduct business. But if business must be conducted in person, we are doing everything we can to keep people safe.”
Our Brandon and SouthShore customer service centers remain closed until further notice, but barriers will be installed at those locations as well as the Plant City Courthouse customer service counters in the coming months.
