In recent years, May 4th has taken on a special significance across the internet as the Unofficial Star Wars Day, marked by the iconic phrase, "May the Fourth Be with You."

To acknowledge this special day, Clerk of Court and Comptroller Cindy Stuart will offer galactic-themed weddings at the Pat Frank Courthouse.

For this special occasion, we've infused elements of the Star Wars universe into the ceremony, even adding a touch of cosmic flair to the standard wedding vows. Whether you dream of pledging your devotion on the sands of Tatooine or amidst the gleaming spires of Coruscant, your wedding day will be a day to remember with the option to choose between four backdrops featuring different planet options. These wedding themes will be available from 8:30 am until noon on Saturday, May 4. Couples are also encouraged to dress up in costume.
 
To participate, couples must register at our appointment portal and select the “Marriage Ceremony – Special Event – Saturday May 4^th be with you” option. Couples must also obtain their marriage license by Wednesday, May 1.

These ceremonies will only be offered at the 419 Pierce St location in downtown Tampa.
