Clerk’s Table Ribbon Cutting

3/4/26 4:23 PM

The Hillsborough County Clerk of Court & Comptroller’s Office proudly marked a meaningful milestone with the reopening of the Clerk’s Table Food Pantry, celebrated through a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a special dedication in honor of former Clerk Cindy Stuart. The event brought together leadership, staff, and community partners to reflect on the pantry’s impact and the vision that was first brought to life.

The Clerk’s Table was established in 2022 under Clerk Cindy Stuart, who recognized the need for accessible, stigma-free food support in the workplace. Partnering with Feeding Tampa Bay, the office made the pantry available not only to Clerk staff but also to other government employees, neighbors, and survivors of domestic violence seeking help through the office. This made the Hillsborough Clerk’s Office the first in the nation to offer such a resource within a government workplace.

Since its launch, the Clerk’s Table has served over 3,000 county employees and their families, offering dignity, stability, and support during moments of need. Its success is a testament to collaborative effort, including Feeding Tampa Bay, dedicated staff volunteers, and leadership committed to supporting employee well-being.

At the reopening ceremony, Clerk Victor Crist honored Clerk Stuart’s vision and legacy. He expressed gratitude for her leadership in establishing a program that continues to strengthen the Clerk’s Office community. Staff members gathered to celebrate the pantry’s return after repairs from a small flood. Their participation demonstrated the strong sense of ownership and appreciation felt throughout the organization.

With this dedication, Clerk Crist reaffirmed the office’s commitment to ensuring the Clerk’s Table remains a lasting resource for years to come, providing consistent support to staff, reinforcing community partnerships, and upholding the values of service that inspired its creation.
