No Contest Plea

Florida Statute 318.14 allows for the option of pleading no contest which can only be used once in a 12-month period and no more than 3 times in your lifetime. Any person who holds a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is not eligible to plead no contest.

By electing this option, adjudication (judgment) is withheld and points are not assessed on your driving record.

The following violation types may be eligible to elect a plea of no contest:

• Expired driver's license

• Expired license tag

• No insurance

• Driving with a suspended driver's license without knowledge

You must pay the fines and submit proof of compliance at the time of your no contest plea. You can only plead no contest in person. No contest pleas cannot be accepted online, via mail or via phone. You can make the no contest plea and payment at any of our locations Monday - Friday.
