CLERK OF COURT & COMPTROLLER
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FLORIDA
The Hillsborough County Clerk of Court and Comptroller’s Office is one of the agencies authorized by the U.S. Department of State (DOS) to review and accept U.S. passport applications before they are sent to the DOS for processing. Our Official Records department accepts these applications during normal Clerk business days, which are Monday through Friday. However, Clerk Cindy Stuart periodically opens up our Passport offices and offers passport application acceptance on a Saturday to help those customers who just cannot get here during the normal workweek to have their passport application reviewed.
There is no additional charge to come in on this special Saturday and, if you do not have your official passport photos yet, we will be offering passport photo service on this day for just $15 for each pair of photos. It is not necessary to pre-register/schedule an appointment for Passport Saturday – walk-ins are welcome -- but if you want to do so, you can use our Clerk Express appointment portal to secure your spot.
Payments to the Department of State must be made by check or money order. The Clerk fee can be paid by cash, credit card, check, or money order. Payments are made separately. Please see our Passport Fees for more detailed payment information.
Please make sure to check the comprehensive FAQs on our Passport page so that you know all of the required documentation and forms that you will need to bring with you, along with the correct forms of payment. We accept applications for new U.S. passports only for adults, but will accept new and renewal passport applications for children under age 18. If you have questions about Passport Saturday, please email us.
